PARENTS
That's right, this page is just for you parents! We are so grateful
for the opportunity to work with your children. We feel we are blessed
with the presence of each and every youth that walks through the MAX
door. Every person involved in the program represents an arm of Christ.
Through the students and adults, we see Christ working in our lives
constantly. Please know that we would love to be a resource for you
and your child(ren). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate
to contact us. We have tried to put together
a wide-range of resources for parents and Christian
families. If you still want to know more about our ministry, here are
the answers to a few frequently asked questions:
When
and where do we meet?
Students
meet two times per week. On Thursday evenings (MAX)
and Sunday mornings (Maxed Out). All meetings
are held at the Hope
Center Covenant Church at 2275 Morello Avenue in Pleasant Hill.
What
will my child be doing?
Lots
of things! Our primary focus is to encourage students in their relationship
with Christ, and explore the various aspects of Christianity. Many times,
we also use this as an excuse to have fun. We play games, eat food,
tell stories, watch movies, and just hang out with each other.
What
is my role as a parent in this ministry?
Our
goal is to emphasize the teachings of Christ found in the Bible. Our
hope is that your child will also be encouraged in this area of life
at home. If your child does not come from a "Christian" home,
we hope you would be open and allow your child to participate with us.
In either case, ask your child what they are doing and learning. Be
an active part of their life. Who knows, you may even learn something
from them.
How
much does it cost to participate in the program?
Absolutely
nothing! Our meetings on Thursday and Sunday are absolutely free, and
open to ALL students. Some events and trips have additional registration
fees, and scholarships are often available to those who may need them.

Frank Alioto
Frank is the Youth Pastor for Hope Center Covenant Church, where he
began working full time in 1991. He has been involved in youth ministry
for 19 years. Frank lives in Concord with his wife Suzanne and three
